Surveyor General taken proceedings with a view to suspension, as laid down in the Colonial Regulations, against Mr William Goulbourn, 2nd Clerk in the Public Works Department, I have with the advice of the Executive Council suspended that officer from the further discharge of his duties.
I enclose a copy of the letter addressed to Mr. Goulbourn by the Colonial Secretary setting forth the charges preferred against him, together with a copy of the reply of the accused, and of the minutes of Executive Council in connection with the case.
